Continuing the path that was set by jazz icons Sun Ra, Alice Coltrane and Pharoah Sanders in the early 70´s which combined musical experiences with meditation, spiritualism and self reflection, Whitefield and his group bring to stage an aural resemblance of an imagined temple ceremony.
Largely based on improvised interplay between the quintet of musicians, the goal is to bring calmness into a world where overstimulation hardly can be avoided.
After two internationally acclaimed albums (The Infinity Of Nothingness (Jazzman Records, UK 2024) and Birth Of Consciousness (Fruity Shop, China 2026) ), the group continues to explore the possibilities of meditative interplay where space and silence becomes an integral part in the construction of spontaneous composition.
